Parish Pastoral Council

It is almost 1 year since the Parish Pastoral Council was set up in our parish. During this year we have made some progress in the following areas:

* Congregational singing at the 10am Mass in the Oratory.

* Corpus Christi Procession.

* Involving families in the offertory processions in all churches.

* Youth trip to Medugorje.

* Lenten Scripture and sharing Group.

* Meeting with various Parish based groups.

On the agenda for the coming months:

* A Parish Mission for 2013.

* A Baptism Ministry whereby parents and godparents will attend a talk on the very important role they have to play in the life of the child in relation to the Sacraments

On Sat. 8th Sept. the Parish Pastoral Council attended a meeting in Strabane for all councils of the Diocese. It was good to meet with other parishes & leaders and get new inspiration for the coming year.
